Update to 4.0 How can I update to 4.0 from 3.4. That is unsupported here, as it falls in the category of backups. Anyway, all you really need to do is use NUS Downloader to download IOS 60 v6174 (if you use the latest revision instead, you will fully brick your wii) and system menu 4.0 and pack them into WADs. Install these WADs with WAD Import Be sure to install IOS 60 before the system menu. If you haven't already done so, you may wish to install IOS 61 and the shop channel as well. On a side note, you may also optionally install IOS 58 and reinstall HBC 1.0.8 so that you will have USB 2.0 speed.

This will leave you with most of the IOS revisions released with 3.4 rather than those released with 4.0, but the only difference between these revisions is that the 3.4 edition has the STM Release bug. Therefore, this is not a problem.
