FCEUGX displaying VS roms in wrong colors.

There's a issue with how FCEUGX displays VS roms when you play them. Particularly if you play VS Super Mario Bros. It's been a long running issue actually in many iterations of the emulator, which hasnt been corrected by the author. This includes the latest version which he hasnt publically released here, but has it as a download on the emulators google code page. Basically the colors are wrong. Game plays fine but the colors are not correct. Contacting Tantric about it results in nothing even though he supposedly will fix such very minor issues. Or so it's claimed. Anyways I'd try to fix it myself but I got no idea how. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

SMB VS is a problem game. The game starts up looking as though the game colors have been affected by a black light, or something. almost kinda like a negative color look if that makes any sense. I forget exactly when this became an issue, but the games used to run in the proper colors upon boot up before.
