I'm trying to download Smash Stack, but I can't find it anywhere but the wiki. I really need it by tomorrow, tonight preferably. Any way the site could be fixed and/or Smash Stack could be uploaded anywhere else?

Hello,

I'd like to edit something in the wiibrew wiki and so I need to activate my account there, but every time I try to request a confirmation mail I always get an error:

Mailer returned: Failed to add recipient: mymail@mydomain.de [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 554, response: 5.7.1 : Relay access denied)]

Is there a way to fix this? I've tested this with two mail addresses on different domains ...

Okay I've tried several different things I can think and it's still not allowing me to create a account. So does anyone know the answer to this?

I can not change the wiibrew pages with links since the captcha seems not work.

The CAPTCHA asks for the result of:

'date -u +%F | sha1sum | head -c8; echo'

which changes every day.

The result I provide should be correct since I used a Bourne Shell in Linux and Msys of Devkitpro with Windows.

If this is not fixed or solved it will not be possible to release new homebrew applications.

Hi,
MediaWiki (the wiki software) have the InterWiki feature.
For example, Wikipedia uses InterWiki to connect to all languages and other project's sites (MediaWiki download site, Wikiversity, Meta WikiMedia etc...) with a single login.
Can this feature also be used to connect to WiiBrew and WiiUBrew with one login?
The user database is shared but I need to connect two times.

I need help registering on the WiiBrew wiki. I get this message when registering on it:

I got all the Answers correct, etc. But I get this error message anyways, can anyone help me out?

When trying to register new account on Wiibrew Wiki it says:

Is there a possibility of adding the wiimote + nunchuck as a mapping option for the zapper in fceux?? I (and maybe many more) would really appreciate it since zappers tend to use the z button as a trigger (at least mine does), it would really give that feel of playing duck hunt like it was supposed to be. This is my only suggestion.

Ive been trying to contact someone at Bootmii but it keeps getting returned as undeliverable.

First of all my son upgraded to the Wii U this past XMas. Before he did he
kept asking about Mario Kart Wii Custom Tracks. Now he is back at the badgering. I am not against Modding at all just have read some stuff that
concerns me.

My concerns that may be unwarranted are:
First I must state I know absolutely nothing about hacking the Wii U,
although I have used hacks for the Xbox 360 and jailbroken Iphones.
We are not a wealthy family so if his device gets locked he won't be getting another for some time. I don't really know what "Brick" means but I'm pretty
sure that it means it basically makes your Wii U useless except as a nice Plastic Brick.
1. Can "hacking" the game/device "Brick" his WiiU and if so is it reversible like if you unJailbreak an iphone by just resetting or something similar?
2. Is hacking the game the same as hacking the device. I mean can he mod the game instead of Hacking the device or does he need to do both?
3. I have read Modding can Lock his Profile? What does that mean?
4. Does doing this void the warranty?
5. Does Nintendo do anything to users found to have done this?
6. Is there a mod for WiiU in Wii mode for Mario Kart?

I can't say enough about this whole thing. All I wanted to do was be able to play DVD movies on my Wii. I found it BS that Nintendo couln't add a few bytes of code to the system to make it do that. I call what those companies do piracy. Force you to have a stack of hardware that you don't need. I stumbled on this and found that I could make my Wii a one stop Game/media shop. I'm going to rave about WiiMC. The SMB feature in WiiMC is amazing. I can play ANYTHING on my Wii now. No more searching around the house through stacks of discs. I setup a network share on my PC to all my MP3,s Home vids, presentations, family photo's, Most everything is all in one awsome menu. You folkes are awsome.

For WiiMC, I recomend the SMB share setting to your media on your local computers. The FTP client is still a little buggy but it's ok because I'm not downloading media. Just accesing on my local computer.

Bad sectors? (2 replies)

I have 1TB disk with some bad sectors. I have used chkdsk /r /f and it found me about 500kB bad sectors and marked them like bad.
I have there about 24GB free space. All apps are on disk I am not using SD card. It all worked till now

When I downloading from internet to disk wii freezes. For example when using homebrew browser for installing programs or when downloading something by another wii homebrew programs.

I reinstalled last IOS58...
Could it be by wii cannot work with FAT table and bad sectors?

I been trying to add some new pages for a few new apps not yet listed on WiiBrew, and after putting in the simple math question it always gives me this error:

Is this a general error with the wiki interface right now, or is it an issue on my end?

I've been having problems with Special:Preferences on the wiki; it kept seeming not to change my settings. At first I thought it might be my browser or something, so I tried a different one, and discovered that some of the things I'd tried to change had gone through after all. So I tried to change the rest, but soon it seemed stuck again...

So, I thought maybe it was a cache problem, and tried turning off the local cache in Safari. This didn't help, so I eventually tried adding bogus query parameters to the

http://wiibrew.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Preferences

form of the address (which you reach by attempting to save preferences).

Anyway, the point is that someone should probably reconfigure varnish so that it doesn't try to cache Special:Preferences, with either form of address; and I would be surprised if there weren't other Special: pages that it can bogusly cache...

One of the biggest problems I've seen with this site is the lack of consideration of its members by its moderators. In particular, I'm constantly getting onto SifJar for being a total asshole towards people other than myself. They're constantly removing posts simply because they don't think it's helpful as though they're supposed to decide EVERYTHING in the world. Frankly, new mods would be great and I'm about ready to cause a major problem for at least one of them if they don't get their act together and start treating people with a little dignity and respect and quit being an asswipe more often than a helpful mod.
Comments such as, "Seriously, if you can't figure that out, you have no business...," "However, unless you're being stupid, you should never brick your Wii anyway," "Are you a complete idiot? Sorry if that seems harsh, but why would you install a 4.2/4.1 theme on 4.3? Unless you were able to install BootMii/boot2, you CANNOT fix your Wii," make it a point that they have NO business trying to moderate other people's comments. They believe they know everything there is to know about everything and that anything someone else says that disagrees with them and threatens their little world must be destroyed on sight.
Something really needs to be done about this mod because they've belittled at least 5 different people that I know of and they're not getting any better.

I was wondering what happened to the PM system. I was trying to send another user a PM about something and I get this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/hbc-www/forum.wiibrew.org/include/db/mysql/mysqli.php on line 248

Oddly enough I get that same message when click the Send a PM button from the control center. I vaguely remember that it was getting fixed or something but I started getting it for some reason when I try to post (could be FiOS though that's causing problems with all of their updates".

Somebody knows why is not possible to add some kind of web addresses to a page in the wiki?

I've noticed that when you report a post you get this error:

I'm not sure what it is but the reports never go through. Sometimes this happens when I make posts as well but they usually post anyway.

I recently tried to edit a page on the wiki, but it tells me i can't edit it until I confirm my email. I enter it into my account setting, change my email, and save it,but when I leave the page it resets, and I still can't edit the wiki. Does anybody know a solution for this?

Hi,

I would like to create a Wiki account on Wiibrew.org, but after answering the "What company made the Wii?" with "Nintendo" and filling out username, 2x the password and clicking "Create account", I get the following error message:

Login error
Incorrect or missing confirmation code.

Is there something I'm missing? Seems to me like wiki account creation is broken. :(

I have a question about the rules. Emulators run roms so why would they get you banned? I mean don't you need them for the emus? Personally I think that rule should say "ROM links will get you banned instead of ROMS will get you banned. Could we possibly get a change of rules?

I just tried to post a thread in general and suddenly I was redirected to (http://www.cristgaming.com/pirate.swf). All I was asking for was help updating now something listed above this box as things not allowed. I did reference one thing that starts with an i (I won't mention it just in case its filtering based on words) but that was just a reference as a possible cause of a problem.

... but I thought that cIOS was only to be discussed only when it was related to legitimate homebrew applications. And I found it quite censoring to simply lock the topic. If USB loaders, which require cIOS to work, are forbidden... wouldn't it be, by logic, that Priiloader which requires cIOS to work, be also forbidden?
