I'm not sure if it would help but you could try renaming "bootmini.elf" to "ppcboot.elf" and put it in the "bootmii" folder on your SD card. When you turn on your Wii with the SD card it should try to load the HackMii Installer automatically.
Try this. It fixed the green screen issue for me.
