CSS DVD support

I might be asking stupid here, but I'm just wondering why no one has made a mplayer (or other mediaplayer) application that can read content scrambled dvd's yet?

All the stuff is out there, and it can be done on gnu/linux. Is there any special reason that it hasn't happened for the Wii yet?

(If the answer is technical, I don't mind :) )
