Need help with bootmii install

I have an older wii that was upgraded to system menu 4.1u.

I was successfully able to install HBC.

I believe that DVDx installed properly, but I have not tested it.

I installed bootmii as boot2 and IOS.

During the install of bootmii as boot2, it put the necessary files on the SD card and said that it wrote to blocks 3 and 4.

When I boot my wii, it goes straight to the system menu (normal screen) and does not seem to load bootmii.

When I open the HBC and press the menu button, I have an option for bootmii. If I select bootmii, the screen goes blank, flickers and then goes back to HBC.

What should I do to get bootmii working properly?

Thanks.
