I started it last year from the sources of WiiXplore and now it's ready for public release :P
It's capable of render web pages (in a really simple way), it supports image viewing, https connections
and file downloading to sd card.

Porting Chrome or Firefox is not a simple task, as you make it out to be. It would be extremely hard, probably more so than creating a new browser as these projects attempted to do. It would also not mean that Flash would work; that would require Flash player to be ported. If that was done, it could be done for any of the browsers you linked, it wouldn't have to be Firefox/Chrome. Big problem there though is that all the open source Flash players (Gnash etc.) only support up to Flash 8 or something like that, as the APIs changed after that and were kept secret by Adobe. It would require extensive reverse engineering of the current flash players to create an open source implementation. I don't want to promise anything, but i am "TRYING" to build chrome os off of whiite then use bootit to load distribute it. right now all i have is a working gui of the chrome os with settings but still need to get wifi working (without using bootmii) and then work out little bug's (like odd pink color on things that should be white ?) i had some networking code specifically for a web browser
as scanff said he had some parsing code
and i also gave up when the internet channel became free

I made a nice html parser and JSMaster was working on a CSS parser. Last I remember you could render a few basic html tags.

JSMaster disappeared and after the Internet channel was made free I basically had no interest in working on this. Anyhow, people are developing web browsers. And anyway, bunjalloo sucks IMHO. You need a computer running a server to be able to connect to the internet.
