Overclock the Wii?

Hello.
I know that there has been experiments to get MIOS to run at 1.5x (i.e. 'Wii mode speed') and take advantage of the speed the Wii can produce. As opposed to benefitting from the power and maintaining the accurate game speed, the game speed is 1.5x.

I am curious to know if there is a possibility that the Wii for 'Wii mode' can be overclocked.
I heard that the Wii is synced to the speed it is set to, and that overclocking disturbs this sync, but I was curious to know if it would be at all possible to increase the CPU and GPU, and perhaps even RAM clock speed like one would do with a PC.
It would be great to get some extra power for choppy games and some homebrews in general, as well as general performance :)
