You change the XXXX and YYYY values to the buttons numeric code (this number is listed in the codes notes) i have copied it out or even copy pasted it numerous times and it won't work. I have installed the codes for the Metroid Prime Trilogy difficulty hack (I do have the Collector's edition), and I can't figure out how to get them to work -- the only instruction is "Press Left", which tells me nothing!

If somebody could help, I need to know the following:
1. Which 'Left' do I press (D-pad or analogue)?
2. When do I press it?

Either solution is good.

Finding the Ocarina code, I have no idea how to go about. I'm assuming I'd need to look at the memory in some way, and given I've not got a USB Gecko I can only assume I have to use Dolphin or some other emulator to examine the memory. And even if I reached that point, I wouldn't know what to do.

Manually editing the save file, I also am unsure how to go about. I have install home brew on my wii and using backup games thru externall HDD. Everything works good. Now I am trying to install cheat codes for my games and got confused between gecko and ocarina .

My question is , do I need both in order to use cheat codes? One of the YouTube video I found was showing how to turn ocarina for the game. Just turn it ON and download cheat codes directly to your SD card and that's it. You are done , now you can use those cheats with game

Now, in this case, do I have to load gecko os to my wii and down load cheat codes as .txt file and then convert it using code manager on the computer and then save it to my codes folder onSD.

Are these 2 different methods? Do I need any one of it? Or what ever I am doing to get cheat codes is right?

Please help me to understand. If that's the case then why do we need gecko? Which one is better?
