Hi,

i just wondered if someone actually knows how to playback a sound file through the wiimote speaker using the wiiuse library in libogc? I mean, there is a file named speaker.c, where one finds the initialization script as described in wiibrew, but i could not find any hint for how to actually load a audio file and play it, assuming the audio file is already encoded in the right audio format.

Or did someone already tested the built in speaker with the wiiuse library?

The log file for speaker.c says 'added basic wiimote speaker support. playback doesn't work though'. Maybe you can get it working and submit a patch.

Well, i am currently investigating how WiiYourself! is doing it, looks pretty complex.

The speaker.c does something similar for the encoding, just need to find out how an audio file is loaded and converted to a "wiimote sample".

Will report if there is something new.
