LibWiiSprite framebuffer as Image

Is there a way to get the current framebuffer and assign it to an Image class and subsequently to a Sprite for transforms. The end effect I hope to achieve is to recreate the Final Fantasy random battle start effect where the screen blurs or zooms.

I know how to do it in GRRLIB, but that obviously doesn't help you...

My library isn't set in stone, if you could get me pointed towards some getting started/tutorials for grrlib I may switch.

GRRLIB

There are lessons and examples in the download from the website... plus a forum. Plus i can prolly help you with some of the basics (i've been using GRRLIB for most of my projects)

I like GRRLIB, some people like LibWiiSprite... nothing better or worse about each of em, just two ways to "skin the cat"

So far from what I've been reading, it sounds like GRRLIB is more procedural, where as LibWiiSprite is more OO. Coming from C# and XNA I gotta say I'm more inclined towards OO.
