Launch Channel

Is there any way i can launch a channel, HBC for example, from a homebrew app? I know how to return to loader, and return to system menu but neither will suit what i'm trying to achieve.

Any clues? or apps with source i could read?

IIRC "FS Browser" (link: [wiibrew.org] ) can launch channels.
It is open source
