Net_recv is stuck at just below 3mbit. Is this a common problem? Wifi g should at least get like 10-20 mbit right?

The best you can hope to get is around 700 kilobytes/sec. The way that the wifi card interfaces with the rest of the system is a big bottleneck (the way IOS is written doesn't help much either).
