Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, I had two Nintendo DSes. Then, one broke in half and the other's top screen got shattered. I was pissed... at myself. Stairs are not a good place to put electronics.

A few months later, I saw on the Internet that the top of the Nintendo DS had no tri-wing screws, and could be taken apart with a normal screwdriver. I thought, hey, I can transfer the non-shattered screen from the broken DS to the shattered DS! Since I don't have any screwdrivers which fit the screws under the screw covers on the DS, I used a knife. Not the most elegant of solutions, but it worked surprisingly well. So, I took the cover off the top, unscrewed the circuitboard with the screen ribbons attached, flipped the ribbon switch, pulled out the ribbons, threw the screen into my mysterious technology box, took the screen from the broken DS, put it in place of the shattered screen, turned on the once-shattered DS, and voila! Two perfectly undamaged screens :3

In the future, I'll see if I can send the other DS to Nintendo :P
