Gamecube Forced 480p?

I was just wondering if any program existed that could force Gamecube games to run in 480p? I remember there being a mod chip that was able to do it, and it'd be nice to get the extra picture quality for my gimped PAL-region games.

Do you use an hdmi or progressive scan cable from wii to TV? If so, it should say at game start "Play in progressive scan?" or something on that line. I'm not sure what to do if you have Yellow White and Red (Oh, what is the name...).

He is talking about PAL-games.
Those do not support progressive scan on their own.
