WFT is a REAL free client download.... everyone seems to have a 30 day limit.

I have system reset through mIRC...it is supposed to have a 30 day limit, but it has worked for over 3 years!

mIRC is like WinZip or WinRar: after the evaluation time, it just gets slightly more annoying.
It's a shame there's no real free IRC client for Windows, though. (Or at least, I don't know it)

Pidgin is free for windows. A little confusing at first, but free none the less. Or you could just pay for XChat/mIRC you know :P

This is free [planet.pidgin.im]

Oh, I never know that Pidgin is IRC-compatible. ***sit on the dumbass corner***
Still, for some reason, I don't like it at Linux. Somewhat unstable...

I always thought Pidgin was open-source.

Yes, so I would assume that pidgin is free for every platform. However, XChat is open source too and you have to pay for the Windows version. So I was merely pointing out that while I'm not certain, I at least know that the windows version of pidgin is 100% free.
