I very very very highly doubt that the wii could handle that

This should also be in the Ideas and Requests section

well i would be willing to code it, i just don't know whur to start

This would take an expert programmer to make and chances are it wouldn't be very good. Look at wii64, it is a n64 emu and it still doesn't work correcty. It just isn't plasible, sorry :)

Yes, I'm about to release a PS360 emulator actually. It does picture-in-picture, with a Xbox 360 game and a PS3 game. And it lets the Wii play blu-rays. Also lets you use two discs at once, one 360 and one PS3.

No, no one will EVER make a 360 or PS3 emulator. The Wii is much less powerful than either console. And for an emulator, the emulating console has to be three or four times more powerful than the console being emulated. i.e. its impossible. if it could ever happen, graphics would be scaled down (Wii cant output HD) and it would probably be about 1 frame per second. Or less.

what about a PS2? could that be emulated

No, I don't think so.....

I think PS2 and Wii are similar in power terms, meaning it wouldnt be possible to make a truly playable PS2 emulator on the Wii, unless you are AMAZING at coding (I mean more amazing than all of Microsoft and Apple put together, along with most of the people who have ever worked on Linux). The code would have to be incredibly optimized, even then it's quite possibly impossible. Sorry.

what if the wii were to be modded to say... have moar ram/ internal memory , and a larger power source

I dont think its possible...everythings programmed to work with the current setup, with a different processor, stuff would be different. I cant really explain it as I dont know enough, but I think it wouldnt work I'm afraid. Besides, it'd be easier (and cheaper nowadays too) to buy a PS2.

You can emulate anything with anything. But you can't emulate anything with anything in realtime.

But it can be EXTREAMLY hard to emulate anything with a different CPU and that is from the same gen

No, not necessarily harder than any other emu. What henke37 is saying is that it's easy to emulate anything with whatever machine you have, but it's hard to make the emulator run fast.

True. I'm just saying that we will never have a Xbox Emulator on the wii.

To emulate anything the basic principle, from what ive been told, is that the machine emulating it must hasve at least 2 times the processing, graphics, memory power of the original. This is why it is so hard to emulate things even on a normal PC.

Yeah so that would make this impossible.

in simple form you would spend probaly well over a thousend dollars just buying hardware that could emulate then when you connect everything you would loose the wii funcunality. it would be much easier to buy an xbox =}
