Wow! 2TB? that is a heck of a lot of space for homebrew. I think that drivers would have to be written to support them

No, homebrew will not support them right away.

There is no need for them unless you are using "SD warez loaderz with your Softmii themez and WADz"
Re: sdxc

even then you wouldnt need one. i'd say more likely only for an sd backup loader. you'd probably fit plenty of themez and wadz on a SDHC card.

EDIT: And i think you can now use USB for all your warezing nowadays. But SDXC could be useful if you have LOADS of music and videos for playing in MPlayer CE. It could actually be kinda handy. You take your SD card to a friends house, with all your movies and videos on it, stick it in, use bannerbomb to run MPlayer CE and play your videos. Easier than taking even one DVD.

I was refering to SD loaders, if you read my post more carefully. but quite frankly, I can't understand why you'd need 2 TB to fit a bunch of movies. 8 GB would be plenty enough for me.

Oops, reading ftw.

And I doubt I'd get all my movies on 8GB. And maybe wouldnt need 2TB, but that'd give plenty of space for DVD quality video, and CD quality music.

Not to promote piracy but...
most DVD rips are either 1 CD or 2 CD in side. If 1GB is filled with Homebrew then that leaves room for around 7 or 8 movies which is more than enough for me. Anyway, DVD cases FTW!

Really now?

Someone brings up sdxc and all you can think about is piracy?

Why that makes us look no better than gbafail.

Honestly, other than music and movie space, why the heck would you want a 2 TB SD card? Thats seems really dumb LOL. I guess it could help the pirates fit their hundreds (thousands? :P) of WADs! :P

I just see no reason for SDXC than piracy. There is simply no other reason for me. Anyway, I'll stop now.

I feel it would be useful to a degree for music and movies, but probably a smaller one would do, like 256GB (should be plenty of space I reckon).

EDIT: Although it'd probably cost a clean fortune.

256 GB? 32 GB is enough for anyone really. just put your faves on there and whenever you want to watch a different one just put it one there.
Incidentally I think that's as high as SDHC goes.

Yeah, but SDXC could easily do 256GB. And tbh, 32GB would NOT be enough for all my DVDs, along with my brothers' as well. I think it'd be awesome to just have all my DVDs and all my brothers' DVDs on a small SD card, then I can take it orund a friend's house (provided they have a Wii) with bannerbomb setup to run MPlayer CE, and just stick in my SD card and watch all my movies. In DVD quality.
