Nintendo 4.3?

Nintendo hasn't pushed out any new updates lately. Does this mean they have given up trying to block homebrew? or does it mean they are pushing out a huge update that will block and delete any and all hacks?

Yeah, if anything it means they don't have a reason to update anything yet.
Updates are [usually] not to block homebrew, they are to add features.

I believe that their sole purpose is not to block homebrew but to stop piracy. The features are the bait to get us to update.
