SD gecko only allows you to use an SD card as a Gamecube Memory card and it's mostly used to run Gamecube Homebrew
SD gecko is not a memory card replacement, it's for homebrew purposes only.

Re: MegaIOS by Megazig

A) It’s not dead. It was setback due to a hard drive failure which wiped it.

B) It’s better at debugging than a USB gecko.

C) It does indeed debug homebrew.

D) It does require a network connection.

E) It’s not done yet.

Megazig has confirmed for me what Tempus said. So take Tempus's post as final definitive information and ignore mine (which were mislead by speculative uninformed comments made in an IRC channel)

Yay, it is coming :)

Only negative point there from my point of view is E. I can see that in some cases D may be an issue, but I reckon probably the majority of Wii users have WiFi. Especially homebrew users, who are a little more tech-savvy generally, even more so devs/hackers who this will be of use to.
