Help - Nothing Works Right

I installed the Homebrew channel and configurable USB loader. It worked with a couple older titles, however, it did fail from time to time. I am getting back into the wii and nothing works at all now; USB titles do not start up, back up DVDs do not start (no disk recognized), etc.

What is the best way to start this whole thing over. Maybe I need to update the WII and do all the Homebew files again? Any guidance please?
