New Wii Model

Hi there my girlfriend is thinking of buying a new Wii, she wants the duck egg blue slim 1 that is bundled with Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. My question is can this Wii still have the homebrew channel installed etc. Just wondering because it's a slimmer model and they may have changed software etc. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Software is exactly the same, homebrew can be installed just fine. Only thing you can't install is BootMii/boot2, and that has been true of all new Wiis for a few years now.
