Can you use USB controllers?

I was about to purchase an official SNES controller modded to USB to use for the wii for virtual console and the like....

Just wanted to makesure that the two USB drives on the back of my wii can be used for controllers and not just for storage.

no. buy a classic controller

Owen's right. The USB's on the Wii don't work for that.
