So... What's up with Savegame Installer/Extractor?

Weren't they disabled by 4.0? If so, is anyone working on updating them? I don't want to be stuck in my crappy Animal Crossing hacked town forever!!! LOL.

I could use them on a vergin 4.0e wii, updated via nintendo.
Using bannerbomb and load mii I could backup and restore Zelda saves.
Ok, I know I could simply copy them through data management, but I only wanted to test Savegame installer and extractor. :-P
