Using SMB in MPlayer CE

I have MPlayer CE and it's really good, but I have been reading about SMB. How do I set this up? Also, is it worth it without USB 2.0 cIOS (which apparently adds stability)? BTW, in case in matters, I have Windows XP on my computer and 3.4E on my Wii.
