Decompressing (Homebrew Browser)

Is the decompressing phase when downloading an application through the HBB typically slow?
I'm certainly not critizicing but rather want to make sure it is not due to something specific to my setup.
Decompressing snes9xgx took probably 2-3 minutes if I remember correctly.
Decompressing Quake took about 15 minutes.

Thanks.

They sound about right. Don't forget, you're working off the SD card, which is typically slower than hard drives, NAND and RAM etc.

Well, I suspected the SD card as well but that did not seem to account for it.
The download for Quake is about 16MB. Assuming the decompress image is 80MB and it took 10min to decompress (to be conservative), then data was being written to the SD card at 133kB/sec. The SD card is capable of writing dat much faster than this. Also, it took about a minute to make the download.
Maybe the Wii is slow at decompressing with the software that is being used for this task.

Ay any rate, if it sounds about right to you, then I have no concerns.
Being able to use homebrew apps is well worth the wait.

I just wanted to be sure nothing was wrong with my setup.

Thanks.
