UAE not showing up in HBC?

UAE not showing up in HBC?

Hi,

I wonder if you can help me.
UAE does not show up in the HBC so I cannot start it. :(
I tried installation via HBB, but this fails (think the download fails already).
So I unzipped the archive to the USB ending up with uae in root and in apps. Still it does not show.
Tried the same with an SD-card, same result. :(
Any clue what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

CU,
Mario

Well,

those don't apply to me/my case:

1. Other apps are running/showing up, so the medium is fine.
2. There is /apps/uae/boot.dol (and /uae - no boot.dol in there, though copying it there, doesn't make a difference)

Mario

The instructions apply to every case. You have set up the application incorrectly. Carefully read the instructions checking yourself step by step to figure out what you have done wrong.

Well,

I have read them, have you read my explanation up there, not only the first line?

Sorry, if I don't get, but I checked:

From UAE-page, section installation:
Untar the binary release on your SD card, which gives you a structure as follows:

uae/
uae/uaerc
uae/floppies/
uae/roms/
uae/harddisks/
uae/saves/
apps/uae/
apps/uae/boot.dol
apps/uae/...

- Done structure is there.

From the FAQ

There is a folder in the root of your SD card named apps. NOTE: apps is case sensitive. It can not be named APPS, aPpS or anything else other than apps in all lower case letters.

- there is - checked

Make sure that no more and no less than one folder is between the apps folder and the boot.dol or boot.elf file of an application.

- there is /apps/uae/boot.dol - checked

Make sure that each of your applications have a path that looks like: /apps/afolder/boot.dol or /apps/afolder/boot.elf

- same as above - checked

Also, make sure you are using a compatible SD or SDHC card. (The card you used to install the Homebrew Channel will also work to run apps from).

- Other apps are working/showing up, so the hardware is compatible - checked

So, what am I missing? :-(

Mario

Something about sd:/apps/uae/boot.dol is wrong.

Make sure boot.dol is all lowercase.
And make sure you didn't accidentally name it boot.dol.dol
And make sure there is not a boot.elf or a second boot.dol file present in sd:/apps/uae
