HBB & Snes9x Hiccups please halp

My first problem is when I load my homebrew browser it says Error this is not a valid Wii application,

my second problem w/ the Snes9x v.4.1.5 is when I try to play any game I put on it. The error says unknown file type. I really don't know what type it wants.

thanks in advanced and please excuse me in my seconded question counts as roms and sorry if this is the wrong section. I was confused.

If it matter and on 4.2 operating on 4.1

Both problems can be solved by using current versions of the respective software and not outdated ones.

how does that help me with the games

It's a file type, AFAIK. You need the ROMs that you're using to have the extension .smc on the end file.

so all have to do is put that smc thing at the end of the title like boot.dol

No, that will corrupt the file.

you need them to already be the right filetype

so since I have no idea what your talking about anymore. How do I put roms on the Snes9x. If you got a link I can read or what ever please give it to me.
