ftpii and FireFTP can't connect

I installed the FireFTP app to my laptop

Moved the ftpii app to sd card

Then go to home brew and use ftpii app and it gives me my ip address

leaving that open I go to my laptop and open FireFTP from my firefox and enter the ip address in the host

Hit connect and it gives me a Unable to make a connection. Please try again message

I uninstalled my firewall for the moment, I am using a wireless router if that would make a difference

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

I have updated to v3.4U before I knew I could use homebrew

I have followed the directions and I get a Exception 0300 occurred

I have formatted my scandisk 2gb sd card with Official SD Card Format Tool,the card says (sandisk for wii) on it, if that makes a difference

Then extracted twilight-hack-v0.1-beta2.zip and the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1.tar.gz to the sd card and changed the homebrew channel to boot.dol

Delete the existing Zelda save

Copy Twilight hack to system

start game and choose TwilightHack0 for the version of Zelda I have

Walk backwards and it starts and then gives me the Exception 0300 occurred

Homebrew channel is in the root of the card right? And you're using the correct region of the twilight hack right?

I figured it out

I extracted to the sd card instead of my desktop and there was files that I did not see when extracted to the desktop
