wiisx won't save control configurations...help?

well,since the gc controler setup is mapped d-pad to dpad,and triangle to Y,i have to change the setting to play SoyN (the d-pad is awful,and since i spentso much time playing nintendo...i can't ge tused to the 'cancel' button above the action buton,or at least not anymore)

once i exit and return,the changes are lost;they weren't saved
i did everrything just like i would in wii64 (and that works too)
was it a problem with the emultor,an error with my download,or what?
any ideas?any solutions?

I assume it's just a problem with the emulator that needs to be worked out.
