MPlayer_CE will not recognise USB Device

Hi all,

This is my first post here so hopefully I put it in the right place...
Yesterday I installed MPlayer_CE on my Wii hoping to be able to view movies using it. I followed all the instructions to the letter and it seems to work like a charm, but only for movies that I put on the SD card. Whenever I try to read from my hard drive, the usb hard drive is not recognised. Homebrew itself however does recognise the hard drive which is properly installed in port 0. USB support software has also been installed as per available instructions.
The harddrive has 2 partitions, one WBFS formatted, the other FAT32 formatted. Does anyone know if this issue can be solved, and if so, how to do that?

Try WiiMC, see if it works instead.
