Wii Casino released!

Wii Casino (formally Wii Double Down) has been added to the wiki!

Features include:

Added Craps with 3d physics with realistic Dice / Table interaction (no random number generators here!)
Animated Miis and blackjack assistants.
Added Wallet to save your progress
Added Bank to save up to three accounts plus one guest

Slots and Roulette soon to come

Poker and multiplayer on my list

I love the animations when you run out of money, lol. Nice job guys! :) Do one where your great uncle leaves you money in his will.

I've noticed that the dice objects are a bit too small to read for me. Is there some way to increase the view of the dice/craps table, or display the dice results at the top of the screen? I thought that a sfx of the dice hitting the table would make it a little cooler. Thanks, and just my two cents.

Lol yeah Owen, there are a couple variations you randomly get if you run out of money... There is also one if the game detects any cheating or money hacking attempts! Those were fun to make.

Yskysk: there is a dice results at the top of the screen... Are u saying u can't read that? U might need a nicer tv! ;). I did some testing on the smaller/ oldest tv I had and u could still read it. I know u sometimes can't see the small die but that's what that top view is for. I guess I can throw a number out there.... Actually, u just gave me a GREAT idea! I'll get back to u on this one!

Sound effects for bouncing dice are a good idea but I need to find a better way to detect the collisions in bullet to make that work... Maybe the next update!

Thanks. Actually I noticed that on the craps screen there are 2 large, green circles displayed in the top left hand corner. I'm guessing they display the result of the dice rolls, but they remain blank for me. How might I change that? Thanks again.

yeah, those two circles should be blue buttons, with 3d dice mirroring what the table dice do.

what system menu do you have? did you dl from webpage or hbb?

anyway to take a picture / screen shot of it for me?

i haven't come across this bug!

Sorry I meant blue circles, but they still don't display any dice objects or score. I have system menu 4.0E HBC 8. I got wii casino from the webpage.

I couldn't find a link on this page to upload a picture, but suffice to say the screens normal except no display in the blue circles. When you toss the dice I notice the tiniest black dot flicker, but that's it. Thanks again.

yeah i dunno... i've asked around to some other dev folks and have heard that system menu version shouldn't play a factor, but obviously something is going on. I would say update and see what happens but i aint gonna force you to do that when that shouldn't matter.... guess i need to find more folks with older system menus to see if they also have this issue.

anyway you can update your loader (HBC) to a newer version? Most everyone i've talked to agrees taht system menu version /IOS shouldn't play a factor but maybe there's a chance the loader matters for reading memory etc. Out of curiosity, what IOS is your HBC loading from... should tell you if you hit the home button from the HBC.

there maybe an issue there (i dunno, just trying to rule things out at this point)

interesting that you edited your post... i'm not here to imply the reason why you are loading from that IOS.. just looking to solve a problem. Way i see it, it isn't wrong what you choose to do with what you own... we just can't help you will certain things... and since that has nothing to do with this post... i wouldn't worry about it.

I'm gonna see if i can do some tests because that's the only reason i could see it not working for you.
