the best media player for videos is Mplayer - but it does not have data DVD support...
MplayerWii doesn't work as well with some video files, but there is a data DVD unofficial version on the Wiki... and the only one that I know of, so you'll have to go with that, or bug TT to make Mplayer data DVD compatible (or do it yourself)...
