Snes9x GX eumlater for the wii freezes when I try to goto preferences ingame..

I cant save my snes games with snes9x gx. The screen goes black and it freezes when I press the home button ingame or if
I push my right analog stick to the right.. I cant save my game ingame naturally because when I turn the emulator
off it clears the save... So has anyone encountered this?? I have the most recent snes9x gx. I made sure of that first...
Im lost and it sucks because I wanna play E.V.O and FF3 and be able to save my game......

try an older version, I think the newest one has a saving bug...right Tantric?

You can save in-game. Before loading your rom, go to preferences, then turn auto save SRAM and auto load SRAM on. This way you can use save points found in-game.

Also, I think the first time you try to do this, turn both auto load SRAM and SNAPSHOT so you don't lose progress.
