3.2 vs 3.4

If we already have homebrew channel, why not upgrade to 3.4, and receive faster sd/dvd seek times?

I have heard that Bootmii may not work as boot2??(i made that up, but is it true?)
Patchmii wont work but is that necessary?
I already have DVD capability will that be affected my upgrading? if so there is a dvdx for 3.4 out.

1) its much easier to unbrick a wii thats on 3.2, much much easier especially if you have a modchip.
2) starfall
3) Gecko OS rebooter

Because we dont want to lose the fakesigning bug or any other old exploits.

I understand point 1
i thought we were moving away from starfal, with preloader, and bootmii, and healthii
does anyone use the rebooter, i dont...

the rebooter lets you do cool things like move the discchannel, copy ANY saved game from ur sd card or ur wii.

starfall has some features which arent in preloader, also bootmii isnt released yet

It dosent anymore, or at least not with what I use, i tried and it didn't work, but I used preloader or something to move it and it worked.

Ok so when Bootmii comes out switch to 3.4

not really its simply best to stay on 3.2

Staying on 3.2 guarantees perfect functionality with all existing homebrew. If you want to update and lose that, go right ahead.

everyone seems to forget the new EULA that is adjacent to 3.4

whether or not they have the technology in 3.4 to autoupdate, they certainly have the right to make you upgrade...

also, since updates are just coded to wait for the user to press 'A' to start upgrade, I don't see how they would need special software in 3.4...just code the upgrade to "auto press 'A' "

I know about it, thats why I unplug it when I'm not using it..or disconnect from the wireless unless you are playing online.

EDIT:
Also when i reboot with hooks with Gecko I get code dump..
