Damn... Downgrade from 4.0?

I heard about the new 4.0 upgrade and did it, and then hours later learned about the homebrew community. How do I go back, or should I wait for 4.0 features.

there will probably be a way to install our Homebrew software for 4.0 soon...keep checking back!

Is there also a way to downgrade from firmware 4.0 to lowers?

Theres really no reason to downgrade if you have the HBC installed.

I have the HBC installed, but there are some problems anyway. This doesnt count.

Preloader can be put on 4.0 too soon...

And to that i say:
Why downgrade to 3.2 when all that will be usable when bootmii comes out? Downgrading is ridiculously dangerous just to Use starfall and installation of HBC through discs(which requires a modchip Anyway). Plus If DVDx is already installed, theres no real problem. All of the fun and greatly usefull apps are still useable through HBC if its already installed. Theres no need for that other stuff. We still have our emulators and media players and games. I greatly agree with Arikado on this one.

none of which are possible or useful with bootmii

Remind me again why we still need patchmii?

Thats all 3.2 stuff anyway. Custom channels are just pointless in the first place, especially with the Brick risk when you could just use HBC. Gecko reboot with hooks: With bootmii were gonna have complete control over the system anyway, so wont we be able to do things like Gecko OS anyway.(Correct me on that if you want because im not really sure what the Hooks you can reboot with are anyway.) And like Arikado said, why do we need patchmii anyway. We will be able to update fully and use Homebrew still anyway. Trucha discs, well don't they still need Mod chips to boot anyway?

I absolutely LOVE the custom channels... it is so official looking....and as long as you have preloader, you have no brick risk!

I don;t know if it is still needed, but DVDx did not work for me without patchmii

Truchas do either need a loader or a chip, but trucha is used for my custom Guitar hero songs...so I need it!

Not if I have the real game and hack it myself!

I am talking about the songs, not the game.
But yes, if you do everything by yourself (minus the chart), it should bve fine.

haha ,yeah...they are my mp3s...or from local underground bands(they love seeing their songs on Guitar Hero!!)
