Help!! altering my boot screen and look of wii menu

Hey im very new to moding and just set up the homebrew channle on the wii i saw my friend had a custom skull boot screen when he first turned on the wii and his main menu was black and i thought it was so sick..how do i go about doing that in the simpilest way possible..keep in mind im a extream newbie when it comes to this so please lend me a hand..thanks alot fellow modders...

since you`re an "extreme newbie", you probably shouldn`t do a mod such as this.

well i kno my way around programs and have worked a little with program on other stuff i learn fast..i can navigate around programs just need the program names..thanks

You can use MyMenuify (HBC app) to install themes and you can use MyMenu or ThemeMii (PC apps) to create themes. You can also find already made themes if you search.

Make sure you have BootMii installed as boot2 (if you can have it installed as boot2), if it tells you that you cant have as boot2, then install priiloader.
