Before sending my Wii in for repair...
December 05, 2010 04:11AM
Picked up Goldeneye and DKR today only to find out while playing Goldeneye that I'm having artifacting issues again. I'd love to pay Nintendo the insane amount of money they'll want to fix this (along with my noisy disc drive), but I've heard they'll just refuse it and send it right back if they've seen that I've run homebrew.

Anything you guys recommend I do? I saw a thread on here for a proposed Clean Mii application, which would be ideal, but it, of course, doesn't exist (yet). I've only ever run the Homebrew Channel on here, if that makes any difference.

Thanks

First backup your save game data if you don't want to lose it (you can use bootmii, the normal method for non-prptected saves or a savegame extractor), then run the hackmii installer and uninstall everything. Now check your play log to see if the homebrew channel appears in it, if it does you need to perform a system format.
