FF4 Game Freezes at Title Screen w/ Riivolution

I'm new here, forgive me if I am posting in the wrong forum.

I have been trying to play Fatal Frame 4 (w/ English captions patch) for a while now, and I have everything set up to run it. And sometimes I can; however,

more often than not the game will freeze on the title screen after it loads from Riivolution (which loads the patch and starts the game). At this point, the only thing I can do is manually shut off the wii and start it up again (sometimes the menu screen will not appear (black screen) and I will have to reach the menu through the HBC using bootmii).

Is there something wrong with my Wii, versions of channels, files on SD card, etc? I am not sure where to start.

4.3 US Wii
boot2 bootmii installed
HBC installed via Letterbomb
Riivolution v. 1.04
Riivolution and Fatal Frame translation patch loaded onto SD Card--used to run FF4 w/ English captions
BootMii on separate card, used when Wii will not boot, 1st card reinserted to run game
