Change Japanese Wii to NTSC-U

Hi, since I could not find any exact answers, I have a few questions to ask. So I bought this japanese wii from japan and I want to be able to play US games (I will rarely play japanese games). Currently my firmware is 3.1J and I want to know if there is any hack out there to change my whole system region to US or at least able to play US games completely fine. I heard of tona's anyregion changer but I don't know if its safe. If I were to change everything to english and then install the firmware 3.2U, does that make the system completely US region? And does it start automaticly updating to us firmwares from now on? So basicly, what do I do if i want to be able to play US games on a japanese wii and also to change the menu to english. Thanks.
