Trucha bugged IOS

So, my PAL Wii is a launchweek Wii, and I have heard about system menu 4.0 and previous updates fixing trucha bugged IOS.
I've always updated through Nintendo completely normally. No CIOSes or other patching, just HBC installed from back in the days when they had the applications pack. I'm on 4.0 these days with HBC 1.03, bootmii (beta2) as boot2 and DVDX.
I ran signcheck (0.3a) the other day, and apparently all of them are trucha bugged. Again, there has been no effort on my part to keep them that way.
Have I misread something or is this odd?

This happened to me too, and I'm on 4.1. Signcheck says the trucha bug is enabled on each IOS.

And you all went to 4.1 by using the system update?

I'm on 4.0, still.

can i use applications that require the trucha bug?????

im on firmware 4.0
