Removing the SD card?

Removing the SD card?

Simple question. If I ran applications through the Homebrew channel by use of the SD card (Basically like the Ocarina hack), if I removed the SD Card mid-game, would that cause any problems or stop the program?

Shouldn't do. Ocarina/GeckoOS load the patches before starting the game, then closes the SD card down, so effectively the game is running like normal.

However, if you return to the Homebrew channel after removing the SD card, you might get problems. I remember once taking my SD card in and out whilst the HBC was running to update some code I was working on (before I used WiiLoad), and it sometimes caused problems loading the programs.

If you take out the card you must restart the HBC after putting it back in. And no, removing the card mid-game of any app shouldn't affect anything.

EDIT: On second thought, removal of the SD may affect saving via an emulator.

Of course it could cause a problem if the game/app is using the SD card itself. Otherwise, it should be fine.

Question: Can I use a PowerSaves card instead of an SD card?

I think the PowerSaves card is just an SD card with some hacked save files on it.
