Shop channel update

I recently got a message from nintendo telling me that they would give me a nes game because i had purchased the internet channel. Because I want to safeguard my homebrew, i haven't updated since 3.3 but have patched the shop channel with WiiSCU before. Now, the shop channel still asks me to update it even after i installed it with the newest WiiSCU version. Does anyone know how to get the shop channel working?

Try Dop-IOS Mod.

Make sure you install IOS 61 as well as the latest shop channel.

I honestly still don't know for sure if that one's necessary.

I'm at system menu 4.1 with IOS 61.
I was able to update Shop Channel via WiiSCU and got my free NES game.
I didn't have to update/install any newer IOS.

I picked Punch Out with my 500 points

Oh... IIRC someone said it didn't work until they installed 70. Sorry for the wrong information.
