Wii menu 3.4 - Installation error 1022
December 17, 2008 07:19PM
=== Error message when trying to install Homebrew with the Twilight Hack ===
First of all I'm new to all this so if this is in the wrong place or I if I missed something obvious I apologise.
I have downloaded the (menu 3.4): twilight-hack-v0.1-beta2.zip and the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1.tar.gz MD5 signature checks match the values on the site. I've unpacked these on the root of my SD card and followed the Twilight Hack instructions.
I start Zelda and the saved game "Twilight Hack" dated 16/10/2005
When I start walking backwards in the game the installation starts.
Then I get a screen with "Custom IOS Installer v1.4" , custom IOS36 rev 07, followed by the DISCLAIMER and I press A to accept.
I've tried both WAD Installation and Network Installation with the same end result.
For the WAD Installation, I get:
[-] Mounting SD Card ... OK!
[-] Reading "IOS36-64-v1042.wad", ....please wait....OK!

[-] Patching custom IOS, please wait...
[-] >> Title patched successfully!!

[-] Installing custom IOS, please wait....
[-] >> Installing ticket ... ERROR (ret = -1022)

[-] [SUCCESS]: Custom IOS installed successfully!!

Press any button to restart the Wii.....
Restarting

After the restart everything is as normal, but there is no Homebrew channel.
Any ideas about the error message or what I am doing wrong ?

Custom IOS has nothing to do with the Homebrew Channel. So I'm not quite sure what you're trying to achieve.
Are you trying to install the Homebrew Channel or cIOS?
Gecko OS question
December 14, 2008 03:37AM
I've never been able to find an answer for this question. Is there a version of Gecko OS that works with the latest Wii Firmware 3.4? I am having trouble installing it onto my Wii. Also the Gecko OS that comes with the Latest Homebrew Channel won't work for me..

Never mind. I was able to get a working version of gecko OS installed via the Homebrew Channel.

Most likely the latest version is needed - most apps are updated to fit the needs of being able to play homebrew on newer software.
problems with "ticket" -2011!
December 19, 2008 01:50AM
well i wanted to install the cIOS and i always get something like an error while installing a ticket, error "-2011" i think.

i have the System Menu v3.4

note that the NES emulator runs well with the Homebrew Channel and plays NES roms fine, Quake too runs fine and some homebrews runs fine too.

How can i see which IOS/cIOS i have installed on my Wii?

you can use Tona's anyregion changer to go to 3.2... it is better than 3.3 is!

Any region changer allows you to either changer your region OR downgrade.
