First Time Installing Homebrew channel

Two quick quesions:

1) My brother updated for animal crossing and I was wodering if I can still. Its 3.3U

2) Does it erase any of my game saves? (Besides TP)

1)Yes, 3.3 is fine and in any case there is a workaround version of Twilight Hack for 3.4
2)No, and you can always back up your TP save before you copy over it with the Twilight Hack.

I have it all installed and everything, but how to I load programs? I have .elf and .dol files of the program and I put them on the SD card and went to the homebrew channel, but nothing happened. Can you explain how to use them? I looked on the site and couldn't find out how.

hey i was tyring to get the homebrew channel and when i got to the install part. it says: my wii is the 353 (v22) and that home brew only have used it on 290 (v18) and under and that installment has failed. is there any way i can get past this? my wii, its updated only to 3.3u

Marioguy: Read the readme. they go in /apps/NAME_OF_APP/boot.dol (.elf's don't work). An easier way is the Homebrew Browser.

a FEW elfs do, like geexbox, but there is also an elf to dol converter.
