resident evil 4 co-op!

well I don't fully grasp what can and can't be done with home brew, But my idea is simple: A wii resident evil 4 co-op mod!
originally I thought of having co-op for the mercenaries mini game but decided to that co-op on the campaign would be cool too. As a newcomer to wiibrewing ( but not a newcomer to programming ) my only way of thinking of how to do this, is to get the resident evil source code am I right? or is there other ways?

Yes, this would require modifying the original source for the game (which is illegal) and then releasing it as a huge download. Probably to big to fit on most SanDisks. This will never happen. We are more likely to get resident evil 5 on the Wii first.

not possible with homebrew, as already said, it takes re writting the actual code, and is illegal, it cant be done sorry.
