Yes I have 2 seperate questions so sorry if its taking up forum space.

Im just curious if brand new Wiis can be hacked just like older models.

Homebrew Channel, DVD capabilities, bootmii as boot2, etc. Is there anything that new Wiis have in hacking prevention security?

Yes new Wii's can still be hacked for the most part. Of course now there are new DVD drives which prevent reading any other types of discs but official Wii ones. And installing BootMii as boot2 is not possible for Wii's with a newer boot1.

Well I don't know if I am right or not, but you may be able to find a older bricked wii off ebay and use the dvd drive out of it in the newer ones if that will work. At one time there was a link to a wii parts store on here where you get some replacement parts. I don't remember it and don't know if it would be ok to be posted on here.

Yeah you can switch the drives in order to use other types of DVDs
