Safe to remove BC and mIOS?

I have the new "Wii Family Edition" without GC support and I was just wondering if it's OK to remove BC and mIOS from my system? Or would that result in a brick? Or are the GC files not that huge and not worth the effort to gain some more room on the system? (I know... a lot of questions)

I have Priiloader and BootMii installed so I think I'm kinda brick safe...?

(Side Note: The new Wii's actually have the GC port holes and board headers, just no physical ports themselves, plus a weird diagnostic looking connector where one of the GC memory cards used to be. Look it up on google if you don't know what I mean, I thought it was an interesting read.)

Yes they could be removed, but it wouldn't affect the amount of space available for save games and channels AFAIK because BC, MIOS etc. are stored in a designated part of memory that can't be used for saves and channels. I could be wrong though. Anyway, they aren't very large.

Regardless, if you were to delete them every single game you tried to play would prompt you to update, until eventually you accepted and reinstalled them. In other words, it's not worth the hassle.

Alright, I guess I'll leave 'em alone. Thanks for the help. :)
