I used letterbomb to homebrew my 4.3 wii. I set bootmii as boot 2. And after that everytine I would start my wii it would start with bootmii. But after reading the softmod guide it says to reformat the sd to install the modzip that includes nanogamma. After that no more bootmii. Is that fine? I did a backup while I still "had" bootmii and put the 3 files on my comouter. Am I set?

Without the "bootmii" folder on the root of your SD card, BootMii will not run. If you put those files back on your SD card, it'll run again at boot.
Also don't mention any backup launchers here. (Technically you didn't do so as "nanogamma" does not exist, but I believe you meant to type the name of a backup launcher).
