play new games

hey guys
I had homebrew installed on WII through the Zelda method about 5 years ago. I am unable to play new games which are downloaded onto disk on this now, im guessing it needs updating to play new games, is this true?? and if so how do I go about doing this

In my opinion it would be better to update your Homebrew Channel to the latest version, and then update your Wii to the latest version. If you don't have the newest Homebrew Channel already, you can use the HackMii Installer to install it and then just run a System Update afterwards.
